I understand the grit and determination it takes to navigate the ups and downs of building your startup. I’ve been there.
My work is grounded in these experiences.
I led the company through a strategic pivot that extended the projected runway and allowed the company to refocus efforts on high-potential growth channels.
When our Series B fundraise stalled because we couldn’t rally investors around media and e-commerce under one roof, we executed a spinout of JackThreads from Thrillist. We simultaneously closed two separate funding rounds from two different investment groups.
Less than a year after the spinout of JackThreads, we led Thrillist through a simultaneous four-company merger, with a $100 million investment from Discovery Communications, to create Group Nine Media. This move positioned Group Nine as one of the largest digital-first media companies in the world.
As the dot.com bubble burst, I led the restructure of this global public relations agency, reigniting growth and profitability by improving operating margins, accelerating global expansion, and aligning global compensation incentives.
